VFM Teams with TV Pro to Make Hotel Videos

VFM Interactive, a provider of online video and rich media content for hotels and other travel businesses, has partnered with Productions NY to produce and distribute professionally made marketing videos through online travel websites.

Productions NY was founded two years ago by Tim Hayes, former studio head of “Good Morning America” and “Entertainment Tonight.”

VFM said the exclusive distribution agreement brings Emmy Award-winning video producers to help create rich media hotel content. That content is planned for distribution on thousands of sites, including online travel agencies like Travelocity, Priceline and Orbitz.

VFM and Productions NY said they expect the collaboration to “set a new standard for what is seen as acceptable in the realm of hotel videos and video virtual tours. It is now possible for hotels to have affordable video solutions created by the same staff that shoot and edit programs on The Travel Channel, The Food Network, ABC & ESPN.”

“Many of the top people in television work on rotating schedules,” Hayes said. “They might be on the set of ‘Law & Order’ or ‘Entertainment Tonight’ for three weeks and then have one week off from the show. It is during that week that we send them out on special assignment to create hotel videos and our new video virtual tours.”
