
Boeing and Aerolineas Argentinas, the flag carrier of Argentina, have completed an agreement for 20 Next-Generation 737-800 airplanes. The agreement, valued at $1.8 billion at list prices, will play a key role in Aerolineas Argentinas’ continued efforts to modernize its fleet and increase passenger satisfaction.

A new Cayman Islands-based airline is planning to run scheduled flights connecting to the Caribbean and Latin America. BlueSky Airlines has already launched an “executive jet” service aimed at high-end clients in the business world.

The acting head of the Caribbean airline, LIAT, in a message to staff, declared the comfort and well-being of passengers will be her overriding priority. In addition to the introduction of new aircraft into the fleet, the airline has been able to stabilize its flight schedules throughout the Caribbean.
Caribbean Airlines Limited (CAL), owned by the governments of Trinidad and minority partner Jamaica, is headhunting a new executive team alongside plans to "transform the organization and rebrand the company both internally and externally".
