Speaking in Cologne on Friday, Lufthansa AG’s Chief Financial Officer Simone Menne noted a second quarter operating profit that was down 27 percent to Euro 431 million, far short of the Euro 599 million that had been projected.
A government official in the Bahamas labeled the commercial aviation fees that took effect July 1 as "modest" and said they "do not begin to cover expenses involved in maintaining a safe aviation environment."
