Carnival Cruise Lines set October 2006, as a return date for its cruises from New Orleans, when it plans to again deploy the Sensation on four- and five-day cruises from the city.
“We are eager to return to pre-Katrina capacity levels from New Orleans, a homeport that is extremely near and dear to us,” Carnival CEO Bob Dickinson said in a statement.
Royal Caribbean International inked a deal with the CBS Television Network to run an exclusive in-cabin station called “CBS Eye on Royal Caribbean” that will feature an assortment of clips, stories and shows from CBS.
Programming will include features from CBS News and CBS Sports; scenes from “The Late, Late Show with Craig Ferguson;” and comedies such as “Two and a Half Men,” “The King of Queens.” In addition, entertainment coverage will be part of the lineup.
