The presence of 34 ocean racing yachts in English Harbour this weekend, preparing for the Royal Ocean Racing Club’s Caribbean 600, has given a very welcome boost to the local economy.

Trinidad and Tobago’s Minister of Tourism Dr. the Honourable Rupert Griffith on Monday evening announced that the twin-island nation will play host to an International Culinary Festival in October. The festival, which is expected to draw top culinary talent from the Caribbean, UK and Europe, will include competitions, live demonstrations and cultural displays.
