After the European Tourism Forum in Budapest last year, it will be the turn of yet another new member state of the European Union, Malta, to host the fourth edition, this time around between October 19 and 21, 2005.
The event is being jointly organized by the Malta government and the European Commission –in collaboration with the United Kingdom government, which is presently holding the EU presidency until December 2005.
The International Association of Amusement Parks and Attractions (IAAPA) announced preliminary attendance of more than 2,500 for IAAPA Asian Expo 2005, indicating a successful turnout at the three-day event that ended Monday at the Hong Kong Convention and Exhibition Center.
As Asia´s largest amusement and attractions show, the 2005 IAAPA Asian Expo, hosted more than 140 world class exhibitors and used more than 2,200 net square meters of exhibit space, a double-digit increase from 2004. Attendees came from 57 countries.
The Caribbean Tourism Organization (CTO) and the United States Virgin Islands Department of Tourism have announced the theme for the 28th annual Caribbean Tourism Conference (CTC-28).
The conference, the Caribbean´s premier tourism educational and networking event, will have as its theme, Tourism: The Business of the Caribbean.
The Turks and Caicos Tourist Board, in association with BET Event Productions, has announced the Islands´ Second Annual Music & Cultural Festival, scheduled for July 25 to August 1 on the island of Providenciales. The main stage concert performances will take place at Turtle Cove Marina, this year´s festival village.
Confirmed artists scheduled to perform include reggae dancehall pop star Shaggy, chart-topping R&B vocalist Ashanti, funky soul singer Jeffrey Osborne, legendary reggae act Gregory Isaacs, number-one Haitian dance band Tabou Combo, gospel & disco queen Candi Staton, contemporary gospel crooner BeBe Winans, as well as some of the Turks and Caicos´ top local artists.
The island where happiness lives will turn into the island where music lives this Columbus Day weekend 2005, as Aruba gears up to host some of the biggest music names in the world at the Fourth Annual Aruba Music Festival.
Aruba will welcome world-renowned musician Peter Frampton (October 7) and famous rock legends Queen plus Paul Rodgers (October 8) as the island turns into a rock and roll paradise.
Carlos Vives, on the tail of his most recent album “El Rock De Mi Pueblo” will be the guest of honor on the nonstop musical stage at Caribfest, an international Caribbean music festival scheduled for August 6 and 7 on the Bay Island of Roatan, Honduras.
The festival is an initiative of the Honduran Institute of Tourism (IHT) as part of its strategy to make Honduras the top tourist destination in Central America and “an authentic Central American and Caribbean” destination.
