OnTheSnow, the snow sports website, has announced several new website enhancements and mobile applications designed to give skiers and snowboarders more comprehensive and accessible information on skiing and riding, including a new iPhone Gear Guide application, free snow reporting mobile applications, a new iPad application, and a new resort photo and video section on the website. The company also announced the launch of new Brazilian and Russian OnTheSnow websites and the opening of its European headquarters in Innsbruck, Austria.

iSeatz, which provides private label travel solutions, and Viator Inc., the parent company of Viator.com, a resource for researching and booking more than 5,500 trip activities and experiences at the best prices, have announced a strategic partnership.

Travelport has renewed a long-term agreement with TravelPlan Partners trading as FCm Travel Solutions Ireland and Abbey Travel, in the Republic of Ireland. Travelport will continue to provide leading travel management company FCm Travel Solutions Ireland and specialist tour operator Abbey Travel with access to the Galileo platform in a new long-term agreement, building on a 20-year working history with the group.

Amadeus has launched “Active Valuation,” a new IT solution that enables airlines to maximize revenues across multiple channels. A host of major airlines, including Lufthansa, Air Baltic, Singapore Airlines, TAM and Etihad, are “Active Valuation” contracted customers.

The Mexico Tourism Board launched the Visit Mexico iPhone application -- the first iPhone travel application to provide nationwide coverage. Users can select to receive information from six regions and all 32 states, in addition to receiving in-depth information about 27 top tourist destinations. The app includes several features, such as online news and weather, interesting activities, videos and Google Map links for top destinations.
 

Travelport has partnered with several new carriers to provide an efficient, online passenger check-in facility for travelers with Apollo, Galileo and Worldspan-created itineraries. Royal Brunei, Royal Jordanian, Gulf Air and the LAN Group are among the latest airlines to implement Travelport’s ViewTrip Online Check-In service, adding to the growing list of carriers from around the world who are leveraging the tool to streamline their passenger check-in process.
