CHTA Launches Fundraising Drive for Dominica

The Caribbean Hotel and Tourism Association (CHTA) launched a relief initiative called Caribbean Hotels Unite for Dominica. The island was devastated by Tropical Storm Erika.

CHTA is asking member hotels to consider donating three- to seven-night vacation packages, which will be auctioned off via Charity Buzz, an online auction provider.

The proceeds of the auction will go into an account created by the Dominica Hotel and Tourism Association (DHTA). The distribution of funds in Dominica will be decided upon by a joint CHTA/DHTA committee.

Hoteliers can download a donation form. Completed forms and a hotel stay certificate must be submitted by Sept. 18.
