Essence Bahamas Launches App for Apple Users Via i-Tunes Store

Local editor-in-chief for Essence Bahamas Magazines announces the launch of its app for all Apple products via i-Tunes store. Editor-in-chief, Enriquie Butler says, “This is indeed a momentous occasion for Essence Bahamas to have been approached by one of Apple’s developers to design a software application for our digital publication to be viewed across their global audience of some 100 million viewers that shop in their on-line i-Tunes store!”
Furthermore, it marks another milestone for the Bahamas as yet another native of the soil has climbed the proverbial ladder of success through his entrepreneurial endeavors. For those that are still unaware of Essence Bahamas Magazine, it is a media publication that was established in November of 2011 with emphasis on promoting our tourism and cultural heritage.
In an interview with the editor, he relayed that the magazine will be celebrating its one-year anniversary with the launched of its next issue. Mr. Butler also reiterated that, “his dream materialized whilst working in the tourism industry, and hearing many visitors wanting to know more of The Bahamas cultural heritage. Something they can read or purchase to allow them to acquire more knowledge of the seven hundred islands," and as a result, the birth of his magazine.
Mr. Butler also indicated that his “dream” was met with many obstacles as with each issue that he published he had many dilemmas, but through his persistence and vision, each issue published saw tremendous remarks and hits increased from across the globe.
Currently, Essence Bahamas has an audience of over 50,000 unique visitors trafficking their magazine from various places such as United States, Canada, Europe, Central America, South Africa, Indonesia, and the Caribbean.
What he has envision for his media company, is to travel the length and breath of The Bahamas bringing pertinent, timely stories and features about The Bahamas and its inhabitants to further enhance the tourism and cultural product. Mr. Butler patterned his magazine after other national magazines that are also in tourism industry that seek to promote their country as the premiere travel destination.
Mr. Butler also mentioned that Essence Bahamas intend to become a print-publication this forthcoming year, for those institutions that still prefer hard copies of the magazines for various endeavors.
