The awards were announced last night at the UNWTO Awards Ceremony in the Spanish Tourism Fair (FITUR 2016).

The award was announced today by the President of the IGLTA (The International Gay & Lesbian Travel Association), John Tanzella, at the opening ceremony of Fitur Gay, staged as part of FITUR 2016.

The new tourism destinations were introduced during the session, as well as products and possible collaborations between companies and institutions from China and Spain.

The Cuban delegation is led by Cuban Tourism Minister, Manuel Marrero Cruz. Representatives from hotel chains Gaviota Group, Cubanacan, Gran Caribe, Islazul, Habaguanex, Melia Hotels, Iberostar, NH, Barcelo, Blau, Blue Diamonds and Accor, are participating.
