Travelocity has announced a Deals Toolkit that makes it easier for consumers to find the best travel deals based on their preferences and flexibility. The toolkit offers three new ways to look for deals, including an on-site tool that walks through a customer’s preferences and returns the best deals, customized for them; a tool that shows the best deals on a map; and a tool that can be downloaded onto a customer’s desktop and feeds deal updates.
Traxo, a travel information management system, has added new features and a content partnership with Uptake, a travel search and discovery site that brings together content and consumer opinions from 5,000 sites. It features its top pick hotels, attractions and restaurants on Traxo.
LoveVoodoo.com, one of the nation’s fastest growing adult dating” sites, and their sister company LoveVoodooTravel.com have decided to host an event for the plus-size crowd, named “Big on the Beach.” LoveVoodoo.com is the company behind some of the largest adults-only trips in North America.
GORP.com, an online resource for outdoor travel and recreation throughout the world, has enhanced its website. The site now includes fresh trip-planning tools, enriched weekend guides, new destination photo galleries and improved navigation.
Travelport has been re-appointed as preferred GDS provider to Flight Center Limited, the Australasian travel agency group with more than 2,000 shops. The new contract covers nine countries and territories including Australia, New Zealand, Canada, United Kingdom, Hong Kong, China, Singapore, UAE and South Africa.
The Cruise Lines International Association (CLIA) introduced an improved website designed to help travel agents and consumers navigate with ease. The site’s “Agency/Agent” and “Vacation/Consumer” sections have been redesigned, with a revamped “Regulatory” section to follow.
