Greece Partners with TikTok to Launch Year-Round Tourism Campaign

Greece has launched a new tourism campaign in collaboration with TikTok to modernize its tourism marketing strategy. The partnership, led by the Greek Ministry of Tourism and the Greek National Tourism Organization (GNTO), was initiated during a meeting between Greek Tourism Minister Olga Kefalogianni and TikTok’s Adriano Accardo. The goal is to create engaging content showcasing Greece's diverse travel experiences, including winter, mountain, and culinary tourism.
The campaign aims to highlight lesser-known destinations and attract younger audiences who primarily use digital platforms like TikTok. By leveraging the platform’s global reach, the initiative will promote Greece as a year-round destination, moving beyond its traditional summer hotspots such as Mykonos and Santorini.
Key to this strategy is the involvement of TikTok creators, who will share their personal travel experiences in Greece. Through their content, these influencers will offer authentic glimpses into hidden gems, cultural events, and luxurious accommodations, inspiring global travelers to explore the country.
In addition to content creation, targeted advertising campaigns will be launched on TikTok, utilizing the platform’s algorithms to reach specific demographics. These campaigns will focus on adventure, relaxation, and culinary tourism, aiming to draw tourists from the U.S., Europe, and Asia.
This partnership is part of Greece's long-term strategy to enhance its tourism offerings through modern communication tools. It also supports sustainable tourism by promoting eco-friendly destinations and reducing the burden on overcrowded tourist spots.
The campaign is expected to boost Greece’s tourism visibility, attract a younger generation of travelers, and extend the tourist season. By diversifying its offerings and promoting off-peak travel, Greece aims to establish itself as a year-round destination.
