Bodegas Torres Recognized as Best Wine Experience by the World Food Travel Association

Bodegas Torres has been labeled ‘Best Wine Experience’ in the first edition of the World Food Travel Association (WFTA) awards, the top international authority in terms of gastronomic tourism, which recognizes the excellence of the experience offered to visitors.

The jury has given this distinction to the centenarian family-owned winery for the original and varied activities it hosts at its Visitors Center in Pacs del Penedès, such as the Enocursa, Stars Night, Eno-photographic Tour and Blind Tapas.

Bodegas Torres shares the record of FoodTrekking Awards for excellence with other four companies, the very best in their category, from Finland, Turkey, United States and Barcelona.

According to WFTA, an association founded in Portland back in 2001 and made up of 35,000 professionals of the sector from 139 countries, these awards aim at filling the empty space in the food and drink industry when it comes to recognizing the excellence of experiences provided by companies to their visitors, place special emphasis on the elements that make them unique and memorable.

Bodegas Torres offers over twenty experiences related to the wine realm for all types of visitors. The arrival of springtime, with vineyards in their best moment, is a perfect opportunity to get in touch with nature and discover the magic of vineyards and the secrets of wine-making.

In summertime, besides the usual experiences, Torres proposes activities to enjoy wine in a different way. Enocursa is a popular 10-km race throughout vineyards, which this year is going to hold its fourth edition on June 12, and Stars Nights comprise wine pairings, stars and music, July 9-16.
