The Caribbean’s premier gathering on tourism development issues, the Caribbean Tourism Organization’s State of the Industry Conference, will, this year, focus on visitor experience and authenticity.

Caribbean Week 2013 in New York is being hailed a huge success. This annual celebration is organized by the Caribbean Tourism Organization (CTO) to highlight the sights, sounds, and flavors of the Caribbean.

A revamped Caribbean tourism website is making it easier for consumers to find events taking place in The Bahamas and other Caribbean countries, a Caribbean Tourism Organization official revealed at a Caribbean Week workshop. Ministry of Tourism officials from The Bahamas said they would update CTO on Bahamas events regularly.

The Caribbean Tourism Organization (CTO) recognized travel journalists covering the region at the CTO Media Awards Luncheon at Caribbean Week in New York. The luncheon, held at the New Yorker Hotel on Thursday, June 6, was sponsored by Trinidad & Tobago.

Caribbean tourism marketers, policy makers and practitioners will be exposed to the latest expert tactics and best practices in marketing and brand reputation during Caribbean Week in New York.

Turks and Caicos Premier Dr. Rufus Ewing is currently in New York to attend the Caribbean Tourism Organization’s Caribbean Week. Ewing, who left the territory on June 1, will conclude the visit on June 8. He is leading a delegation of finance, investment, tourism and trade officials and members of the private sector.
