The pavilion this year is divided between three distinction ‘destinations within the destination.’ These include Abu Dhabi city – the United Arab Emirates’ capital and its immediate surrounds; Al Ain – the emirate’s Oasis City heritage heartland and Al Gharbia – the emirate’s Western Region characterised as where the desert meets the sea.

This year’s edition of ITB Berlin will maintain its focus on Responsible and Sustainable Tourism practices while increasing exhibitor space for segments like Travel Technology. ITB Berlin 2014 will offer a wider range of products for the global travel trade and general visitors.

This year ITB Berlin will again be hosting a wide-ranging program featuring numerous events on the topic of lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender travel (LGBT). For many years the world's leading travel trade show has been helping to develop this booming market segment.

Once again, people who have a lot to say will be gathering at this year’s ITB Berlin Convention, and from 5 to 8 March will be airing though-provoking opinions at the leading think tank of the international travel industry.

This year’s ITB Hospitality Day the agenda will feature major topics, including data security, luxury & sustainability and China’s changing tourism demands.

The Messe Berlin GmbH group of companies has begun the New Year having just concluded its most successful odd-numbered financial year in the company’s entire history. With a turnover of 190 million euros (2011: 180 million) Messe Berlin was able to post a new record.
