Travelport has announced that it has signed a new long-term agreement with The Allegro Group, a U.S. travel management company with sales in excess of $330 million. The new agreement builds on a 25-year relationship between the two companies and will see Travelport providing technology solutions to support Allegro Group’s achievement of agency growth, new corporate business, improved efficiency and an enhanced service offering that meets the evolving needs of its travelers.

Amadeus has released version 13.2 of its flagship e-Travel Management solution, the self-booking tool for corporations. The new version, which is available globally, includes a range of enhanced features, including a completely revamped hotel shopping module that uses a wholly new Graphical User Interface (GUI).

Europe by Air said it is using Expedia as a hotel affiliate. “Continuing forward with our plans to add resources to better serve our customer’s travel needs, Europe by Air is delighted to announce its cooperation with Expedia as a hotel affiliate,” said Bill Wolf, president of EuropebyAir.

The company also provides a comprehensive destination wedding and honeymoon program delivered by one of the top destination wedding planning teams in the business. In addition, there is a strong business focus on leisure group travel, as well as, a scuba program for new and experienced divers.

TripAdvisor is partnering with Nokia to offer an Ovi app for Nokia’s Ovi Store, and integrate the TripAdvisor service into Nokia’s Ovi Maps. The TripAdvisor for Nokia app allows travelers to search for popular hotels, restaurants and attractions in their vicinity, as well as find the cheapest airfares available.
Travelport said that United Airlines has signed a two-year extension of their current full-content agreement that is designed to provide full content well into 2013, subject to the terms of the agreement. Through the extension of the agreement, all United published fares and seat inventory, including web fares available on its own site, reservation offices and through third parties, will be available to subscribers of Travelport’s Apollo, Galileo and Worldspan GDS systems, including all Travelport-connected offline travel agencies and online agencies booking through Travelport.
